If she cares about you, things will change. It is the necessary give and take of a relationship. If not, you will know sooner rather than later. Lies about it out of fear and later will justify it because some alleged circumstances of life created the need to lie and excuse..........move on and help her to become responsible by letting her deal with whatever consequences occur.
